About TheCauseTheCause is much more than a ministry; it's truly a community and a way of life that values family, friendship, prayer, worship and team ministry. Several years ago, the Lord gave me a very simple but powerful ministry mandate. As I was driving towards the church where I was on staff, the glory of God came into the car and the Lord asked me, "Son, will you just be a father?" I sat there stunned. He repeated the question and as I said, "Yes, Lord!" I knew He was asking me to do what true fathers are called to do: provide, protect, equip, release and love this next generation. In many ways, this is not just my mandate, but the mandate of TheCause. We try to see the unique calling of everyone the Lord sends us and release and practically empower them to find their destiny in God. Even though much of our daily lives are centered around our House of Prayer here in Fort Mill, SC, we're also on the road, taking 24/7 intercession and worship, prophetic ministry and preaching teams across the nation with our Red Riders tours. Our buses are retrofitted to hold worship and prayer teams in a mobile house of prayer traveling across America. Our young intercessors mobilize quickly, often acting as rapid response teams to go on-site to pray for issues of government and justice, in particular for the unborn. We have stood in silent prayer for countless hours in front of courthouses and abortion clinics with LIFE tape across our mouths. We're blessed to be on a lake right next to Rick Joyner's MorningStar Ministries. A brand new neighborhood has sprung up around us and even though this area is experiencing some of the most rapid economic growth anywhere in the country, housing is still affordable. This has allowed many young families and singles to own their own homes and deepen our sense of community because we live nearby and can share meals in our dining hall and take part in weekly teaching and worship meetings.
